Washable diaper covers prevent urine or feces from getting on the clothes. They are made of breathable fabrics, which can be PUL/TPU or wool. There are many types in sizes, patterns, and styles. The first type, of cloth diapers is the use of outer + inner / insert diapers, the so called 2 in 1 system. The diaper cover / shell is never enough by itself, because it is not suitable for absorbing moisture, so you always need an absorbent part, which can be a diaper inner, insert, FLAT, prefold, or preflat.
