One group of washable diapers is newborn diapers, which correspond to sizes XS and S and are made for the smallest. These diapers fit babies approx. 2.5-6 kg, or 44-56, up to size 62, but this may vary by manufacturer. Most manufacturers also make diapers for newborns. In the case of these newborn diaper sizes vary a lot between manufactures, in our opinion for 2 reasons. The different covers are planned with inserst of different thicknesses. Another reason why the difference in size between newborn and newborn diapers can sometimes be large is that babies' shapes differ even more when they are newborns, and since diaper manufacturers mainly design diapers based on their own experience, and everyone's life is different. For these sizes, the shape of the baby and the thickness of the absorbent parts always determines how long the diaper will fit.
